<aside> <img src="/icons/bullseye_gray.svg" alt="/icons/bullseye_gray.svg" width="40px" /> The DARTS summer program (Data-Enabled Research Training and Development Sprints), organized by UCF-DPV, was established to train undergraduate students on how to use modern computer and data science methods to carry out interdisciplinary research. Through this program, students were given actual research problems and datasets from various scientific domains (e.g., solar energy technologies, electronics, energy economics, semiconductor devices, materials science) and then trained on how to develop Python-based scripts to use as analytical workflows to help solve these problems.

A DARTS Showcase was held on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 of twelve student team projects both in person at UCF and on Zoom. The showcase provided a short overview of the DARTS program and then each of the twelve student teams presented the outcomes of their projects. These projects were organized into the following four thematic groups:
